Since DiStefano Hair Restoration
Center was founded over 10 years
ago, the practice has expanded
to 5 locations in the New
England. The success of our

Leading our team is Dr.
DiStefano who is very active in
the hair transplant community.
Dr. DiStefano is a regular
attendee at the International
Society of Hair Restoration
Surgery Annual Meeting and the
ISHRS sponsored Live Surgery
Workshop. Both venues showcase
results from around the world in
addition to the latest medical
and surgical technology.
Dr. Mark DiStefano lives Sutton
Massachusetts with his wife Dr.
Mary Wendel, medical director
for the woman’s hair loss
centers, and their 3 children,
Mark Jr., Michael and Matthew.
Dr. DiStefano is active outside
of his hair restoration practice
with many activities. He likes
to spend his free time with his
family and donating time to
various non-profit
organizations.
His passions lie in playing
basketball and skiing which all
of his boys share with him.
During the summer, Dr. DiStefano
is a passenger ferry captain on
Lake Winnipesauke for the Sandy
Island Camp, a family camp
associated with the Greater
Boston YMCA. His, wife, Dr.
Wendel is the camp physician and
his boys serve in the service
crew and as lifeguards.
Dr. DiStefano, grew up in
Auburn, Massachusetts. His Dad
is a surgeon and his Mom was an
RN, who was a stay at home Mom.
Dr. D’s brother, Tony, is a
dentist who practices in
Worcester Massachusetts, His
older sister Debbie is an
ophthalmologist who practices in
Chattanooga, TN, and his younger
sister Lisa is a Mom in Mullica
Hill, NJ.
Dr. DiStefano has traveled to
many other hair transplant
centers to exchange knowledge
for the betterment of the hair
transplant industry.
In 2005 Dr. DiStefano visited
the hair transplant practice of
world-renowned surgeon, Dr.
Patrick Frechet in Paris France.
