"As a Hair Transplant Physician I am always looking for treatments that will improve my patient’s results. In addition to hair transplants patients will often use adjunctive medical therapy such as Propecia or Rogaine to either add extra hair or at a minimum prevent further hairloss. This adjunctive therapy is very beneficial to patients as patients only have a limited amount of their own "donor" hair to use for hair transplantation and it is usually not enough to replace “hair for hair” the amount of hair they had before hair loss started. Therefore any hair that is added or preseverved due to adjunctive therapy adds to the total density that can be produced.
With respect to low level laser therapy, for years there has been theoretical and anecdotal evidence that low level light therapy could also stimulate some degree of hair growth or prevent hair loss.
