"As a hair
transplant surgeon who has been
involved with clinical laser
systems since the early
1990’s, it is truly exciting
to see this evolving technology
of LLLT become a relevant and
useful hair loss treatment and a
transforming agent for the hair
restoration industry."

Craig L. Ziering, D.O., FAOCD
What separates those who are
good at what they do from those
who are great at what they do?
It can often be summarized in
one word - Passion. Dr. Craig L.
Ziering is passionate about hair
restoration. It's why he has
never been content to carry on
with what works well enough, but
has always looked for new and
better ways. Whether it's a
procedure, a result, an
instrument, a therapy, he spends
an inordinate amount of time
thinking about ways to make it
better. Sometimes he tinkers.
Sometimes he innovates.
Sometimes he invents. He can't
help it. Like we said, he's
passionate about hair
restoration.
And that's good, because Dr.
Ziering's passion is one of the
reasons that today's hair
restoration look better than
yesterday's hair transplants.
Seeking a way to improve on the
slow, expensive back and forth
process of multiple small
micro-mini graft sessions, Dr.
Ziering pioneered and promoted
Microscopic Follicular Unit
Grafting. This procedure allows
up to 7000 individual hairs to
be transplanted in one session
and results in a softer, denser
more natural look.
Recognizing that people have
quite different hair growth
patterns at the back of their
heads, Dr. Ziering set about to
classify these patterns and then
to develop hair restoration
techniques to recreate them.
Today, the award-winning Ziering
Whorl is revolutionizing the way
back of the head baldness is
treated.
And the list goes on. From more
precise instruments such as the
Ziering Scope, an ergonomically
engineered microscope designed
to improve the quality of
follicular unit dissection to
the Ziering Blades, instruments
that allow closer, more precise
placement of grafts, Dr.
Ziering's contributions to the
field of hair restoration
continue to impact the industry
and set new standards for
patient care.
It's no coincidence that an
extension of the word "passion"
is the word "compassion". They
work hand in hand. Dr. Ziering's
patients find in him a caring
doctor who recognizes their
sensitivity to their hair loss.
He truly shares in their
excitement when they appear
months later, with a handsome
head of their own newly growing
hair.
